Climate Alliance Baden-Wurttemberg

As one of the 17 first signatories, we joined the Baden-Wurttemberg Climate Alliance on October 7th, 2020.

In addition to us, there are numerous companies such as B. BOSCH, Rothaus, Ritter Sport, AOK Baden-Wurttemberg, SAP are represented in the climate alliance. It is a voluntary partnership between the companies and the state of Baden-Wurttemberg.

The goals that all companies set themselves by joining are ambitious. They declare their intention to reduce their overall energy consumption and to manufacture their products free of CO2 and thus become climate neutral.

Some of the companies have already reached the various sections that have been defined. In this way, we already meet Scope 2, namely to produce in a climate-neutral manner. The challenge now is to motivate our company’s business partners to also maintain the upstream and downstream processes with the lowest possible carbon footprint.

The advantage of this alliance in this respect is obvious: the state will actively contribute to solving the problem, since the companies cannot implement all the steps on their own. Scientists are conceivable as support, who can provide the companies that have joined with important knowledge in order to be able to achieve further goals.
